1.Training Objectives
Aligned with the National Quality Standards for Business Administration Education and the strategic vision of establishing a high-level applied science and technology university, this Financial Management program synergistically integrates the tenets of new liberal arts education initiatives with the core competencies of the ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) accreditation framework. Through our "Value Orientation-Competency Development-Knowledge Integration" three-dimensional competency framework, we cultivate interdisciplinary, application-oriented professionals equipped with digital business acumen and innovative practical capabilities that meet national educational quality benchmarks. Application-oriented professionals who meet national quality standards for business administration education. The curriculum equips students with comprehensive expertise in financial management principles and practical business skills, foundational competencies in business big data analytics and financial AI technologies, and a global perspective coupled with innovative thinking capabilities. Graduates emerge as versatile professionals prepared for dual career pathways: Traditional Finance Practice-engaging in accounting and financial management roles across accounting firms, securities companies, commercial banks, listed corporations, state-owned enterprises, government agencies, and public institutions; and Digital Finance Innovation-performing big data-driven financial analysis and intelligent decision-making in emerging tech-enabled financial sectors.
Five years post-graduation, students majoring in this field are anticipated to attain the following objectives regarding qualities and capabilities:
Training Goal 1: Develop a strong sense of professional ethics and social responsibility. Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, actively practice the core socialist values, and consciously abide by national laws and regulations. Adhere to the accounting professional ethics of integrity and trustworthiness. Moreover, maintain good physical and mental health, and strive for all - round development in moral, intellectual, physical, and labor -related aspects.
Training Goal 2: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental theories, methodologies, and practical skills within the financial management discipline. Leverage financial management knowledge in conjunction with cutting-edge information technologies to proficiently manage day-to-day financial operations, and adequately prepare for and succeed in relevant professional certification exams.Furthermore, demonstrate the ability to formulate and execute strategic plans for complex financial matters, including the establishment of corporate financial systems, the determination of accounting policies, and the design of tax-efficient solutions. Continuously review and enhance relevant financial processes to ensure maximum efficiency, compliance, and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
Training Goal 3: Cultivate substantial organizational leadership and communication capabilities. Graduates should be able to assume pivotal organizational and leadership roles within teams. They will ensure the seamless implementation of corporate strategies, budgets, and financial plans. Moreover, they must be proficient in communicating corporate strategies to both internal departments and external stakeholders. Through effective communication, they can facilitate the understanding, recognition, and support of these strategies, thereby promoting the overall development and success of the enterprise.
Training Goal 4: Develop innovative and logical thinking, adaptable to change and open to criticism. Possess a strong innovation sense and spirit, quickly adapt to internal and external enterprise changes, and constantly innovate in theory and practice. When facing problems in financial management, comprehensively analyze and properly evaluate them. Also, cultivate cross-border thinking and management capabilities.
Training Goal 5: Cultivate a lifelong learning mindset and self-directed learning capabilities, complemented by a global perspective. Students will be equipped to autonomously and continuously acquire knowledge in response to evolving industry demands and societal advancements. They will demonstrate the ability to formulate and effectively execute personalized career development strategies, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of international trends and cutting-edge developments in the field of financial management.
2. Regulations on the Duration of the Major and Credit Acquisition
2.1 Duration of the Major
The basic length of schooling is four years, but students are permitted to complete their studies within a time frame ranging from three to seven years. If a student fails to graduate after the maximum number of years of study, they will be considered to have completed their program requirements in a non - degree - conferring capacity and will be issued a certificate of completion.
2.2 Regulations on Credit Acquisition
Students in this major are obliged to complete all the required courses, elective courses, and relevant practical teaching components with the specified credits. They must achieve passing grades in these courses and accumulate a total of no less than 159 credits. Only after meeting these requirements will they be eligible to graduate.
