Course Description: This course is a compulsory course for business administration majors, and plays a fundamental and core role in talent training programs. This course is a methodological science that introduces and applies the basic theories and methods of statistical quantitative analysis, closely combines social practice, and analyzes the quantitative performance, quantitative relationship and quantitative change law of social and natural phenomena. The course covers the basic concepts of statistics, graphing data, describing data with statistics, parameter estimation, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, linear regression, time series forecasting, and exponentials. This course is not only a continuation of the pilot course Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, but also provides the basis and analysis methods for the market research and analysis of the subsequent courses. Through the study of this course, students will understand the generation, development, connotation, and important role of statistics, as well as the basic process of statistical work. Understand the basic concepts, ideas and theories of statistics; Master the basic statistical analysis methods such as the collection of statistical data, the collation and display of statistical data, the generalization of statistical data, parameter estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression analysis, time series analysis and exponential analysis, so that students can correctly use relevant statistical methods to solve practical problems.
